A late 18th century Federal carved eagle with remnants of an original gilt surface. Inscription on the back reads, " Presented to us by a dear old friend Mrs. Henry Sterling of Poughkeepsie, Dutchess Co NY, November 14, 1876...After having been in her family for 85 years. 8" tall, mounted on stand.
